LogScale SaaS Upgrades

CrowdStrike upgrades LogScale SaaS deployments on a staggered release schedule. Individual clusters are upgraded up to twice each month, using the corresponding latest GA release at the time of the upgrade. During an upgrade, the following services may be unavailable:

  • API

  • Authentication

  • Log Ingest

  • Searching

  • S3 Archiving

During an upgrade, the LogScale instance may still be available, but running a query may report an error:

  • query is blocked

  • The query has been blocked in LogScale by an administrator. The matched blocklist entry is: .*.

These errors indicate that an upgrade is in progress for the instance. Retry the query after the upgrade completes.

The system also displays a message indicating that the cluster is being upgraded.
