Enable and Disable Ingest Feeds

To enable and disable an ingest feed:

  1. Go to Repositories and views page and select the repository where you created the feed.

  2. Click Settings, under Ingest on the side menu click Ingest feeds.

  3. On the Ingest feeds page, search for the feed you want to enable or disable using the search box, then click the icon next to the relevant feed and select Enable/Disable. The status of the feed will change on the Ingest feeds page.

    Note

You can also change this state from the edit and create pop-up.

Screenshot of the LogScale Ingest feeds management interface showing the action menu for enabling or disabling an AWS S3 ingest feed. This image displays the dropdown menu that appears when clicking the vertical ellipsis (⋮) icon next to a configured feed in the feeds list. The menu reveals available management options with focus on the 'Enable/Disable' toggle option that administrators use to temporarily activate or deactivate data ingestion without removing the feed configuration. This contextual menu provides a quick method for controlling the operational state of ingest feeds, allowing administrators to pause data collection during maintenance periods or when troubleshooting issues, and resume it when ready. The interface demonstrates how LogScale consolidates feed management functions into a single access point, with the Enable/Disable option offering a non-destructive way to control data flow. This capability is particularly valuable when administrators need to temporarily halt data ingestion during AWS maintenance, parser updates, or when investigating data quality issues, while preserving all configuration details for later reactivation.
