Summary

The removeFeatureOptInForAllOrgs() mutation removes the opt-in for a specified feature flag from every organization that has opted in. This is a bulk rollback operation. It does not affect organizations that have not opted in, and it does not disable the feature globally โ€” organizations retain access if the feature is enabled at the cluster level.

Feature flag opt-ins are used during gradual rollouts, allowing individual organizations to adopt a feature before it is globally enabled. After a rollout completes or if you need to retract access across the board, removeFeatureOptInForAllOrgs() clears all org-level opt-ins for that flag in a single operation, rather than removing them one organization at a time.

API Stability Short-Term

Syntax

graphql
removeFeatureOptInForAllOrgs(
      feature: FeatureFlag!
   ): Boolean!

The mutation takes one required argument, feature, which identifies the feature flag whose org-level opt-ins to remove. Supply a FeatureFlag enum value. The mutation returns a non-null Boolean indicating whether the operation succeeded.

Input Parameters

Provide the feature flag whose org-level opt-ins to remove.

Table: Input Parameters and Datatypes

Parameter Type Required Default Description
This table contains all input parameters for this mutation. Because this parameter uses a special datatype, an additional table is included below with its values.
feature FeatureFlag yes ย  The feature flag whose org-level opt-ins to remove from all organizations.

The feature parameter accepts a FeatureFlag enum value identifying the feature whose opt-ins to remove. The following table lists the available enum values.

Returned Values

The mutation returns Boolean!. A value of true indicates that the opt-ins were successfully removed from all organizations. A value of false indicates the operation did not complete successfully. If the specified feature flag has no org-level opt-ins, the mutation still returns true โ€” there is no error for operating on an already-cleared state.
