Action Type: PagerDuty

Security Requirements and Controls

LogScale supports PagerDuty Alerts through our Action system. To create a PagerDuty Action, you will create a Service in your PagerDuty Account. You need to have administrative privileges in PagerDuty.

You do that by performing the following steps:

  1. Open ConfigurationServicesAdd New Service.

  2. Give your service a name, such as LogScale.

  3. Select LogScaleIntegration Settings in the tools dropdown.

  4. Leave the rest as default and click Add Service.

  5. Take note of the Integration Key as we'll be using that in LogScale when setting up the Action.

Back in LogScale, proceed with the following steps:

  1. Open the Repository or View for which you want to configure an Action.

  2. Select AlertsActionNew Action.

  3. In the Action Type drop-down menu, select PagerDuty.

  4. Give the Action a name, like PagerDuty Critical.

  5. Paste the integration key from PagerDuty into the PagerDuty Integration Key field.

  6. Click Create Action.

Your PagerDuty Action is now fully configured and ready to use. Incidentally, you can create multiple PagerDuty Actions if you have multiple Alerting channels.

Next, you might want to create an alert, see Creating Alerts on how to do it.

For more information, see PagerDuty Integration Guide.

We also offer an PagerDuty Action Package package which provides a template for a webhook action, so you can customize elements of the actions.
