Initial and key users

For self-hosted deployments, LogScale provides several user account types with different access levels and purposes.

  • Single-user authentication provides basic security and is ideal when first starting with LogScale. This mode is recommended for learning and initial setup.

  • Root users have full system administrator privileges for the LogScale cluster, including the ability to manage other users and perform administrative tasks.

  • Emergency users provide local access when identity provider issues occur, ensuring continued access to the LogScale cluster during authentication problems.
