OptionENABLE_LIGHTWEIGHT_INGEST_COMPATIBILITY
Description

Enables handling of a new node role called lightweightingestonly which skips certain paths in global. This should reduce memory requirements for these lightweight ingest only nodes and help reduce ingest lag in the cluster when using this node role. Note the following points:

  • It must be set to true on any cluster with having nodes with NODE_ROLES=lightweightingestonly.
  • Set it on every node in the cluster, not just the lightweight ones.
  • Minimum version with support - 1.248.
