SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)

An open standard XML-based protocol for exchanging authentication and authorization data between an identity provider (IdP) and a service provider. In LogScale, SAML 2.0 enables enterprise single sign-on (SSO) by delegating user authentication to existing identity management systems like Active Directory, Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace. When SAML is configured, LogScale never handles user credentials directly—instead, it trusts the identity provider's authentication assertions. This approach allows organizations to centralize user management, enforce consistent security policies, and provide seamless access to LogScale through existing corporate authentication systems.
