Roles

A collection of permissions that determine what actions users can perform within repositories, views, and the organization. LogScale includes four default predefined roles: Admin (comprehensive system management capabilities including data access, user management, system configuration, and asset control), Member (basic operational access with permissions for data reading, asset management like dashboards and saved queries, and parser changes), Reader (read-only access to data with no modification capabilities and cannot be edited or deleted), and Deleter (specialized permissions for data deletion operations including changing data retention, deleting data sources, events, and repositories or views). Custom roles can also be created with specific permission combinations to meet organizational needs, and roles are assigned to users through groups to implement role-based access control security policies.
