LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)

A standard protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services, commonly used for enterprise authentication and authorization. In LogScale, LDAP enables integration with existing directory services like Active Directory, allowing users to authenticate with their organizational credentials. LogScale supports two LDAP authentication methods: standard LDAP bind and LDAP-search, both of which can retrieve group membership information for role-based access control. From version 1.238, LogScale requires secure LDAP connections (ldaps) for enhanced security.
