Reverse Proxy

A server that acts as an intermediary between client requests and backend servers, forwarding client requests to one or more servers and returning the response back to the client. In LogScale deployments, a reverse proxy sits in front of LogScale servers to provide load balancing, SSL termination, authentication, and security features. When configured for proxy authentication, the reverse proxy handles user authentication and passes verified user identity information to LogScale through HTTP headers, enabling single sign-on functionality while protecting LogScale from direct access.
