Cost Points
The unit LogScale uses to schedule, limit, and monitor queries, representing a combination of both memory and CPU consumption that a query has. Cost points serve as a measurement of how expensive a query is overall and are divided into two types: static cost points for queries processing historic data, and live cost points for queries that include live updates in addition to historic data processing. Cost points are essential for query quotas and resource management within the LogScale system.
