Query Administration

Query Administration in LogScale provides tools for monitoring, limiting, and managing query execution through three main components: Query Monitor for real-time oversight and control, Query Blocklist for preventing problematic queries, and Query Quotas for establishing resource usage limits. These administrative features help maintain system performance and ensure efficient query management within LogScale.

Query administration in LogScale enables you to monitor, limit, and set quotas that are executed on queries within LogScale.

Query administration is divided into the following sections:

Query Monitor

The primary interface for monitoring, blocking and configuring queries is the Query Monitor. Here you can view the queries currently executing, monitor their resource usage and kill or block the queries from executing.

Blocked Queries

If there are queries that should not be executed, or are known to cause performance issues, they can be explicitly blocked using the Blocklist function.

Organization-Owned Queries

If there are queries that should be executed by the organization instead of an individual user, you can define query ownership.
