Update your Custom Log Collector Installation

If you installed your instances using any installation which is not Download and Install Falcon LogScale Collector Using Curl Commands(Full Install), you will need to follow the steps described in these sections:

Update your Custom Log Collector Installation - Linux
Ubuntu

To update or downgrade your Ubuntu installation run:

shell
sudo dpkg -i logscale-collector_x.x.x_linux_amd64.deb
RedHat

To update your Ubuntu installation run:

shell
rpm -U humio-log-collector_x.x.x_linux_amd64.deb

If you need to downgrade your Falcon LogScale Collector instance add --old before the filename of an older version.

Update your Custom Log Collector Installation - Windows

You can over-install a more recent version of the Falcon LogScale Collector as required, the configured settings are preserved when the Collector is update.

You can over-install a more recent version of the Falcon LogScale Collector as required.
