Dashboards provide an efficient and easy way to monitor servers with Humio. Based on often used searches, they’re composed of Widgets that you create to view server activities in the form of various graphs and tables of relevant data.
This section of the Documentation provides information on how to use dashboards, how to create widgets, and how to customize them to suit your needs. Below is a list of the main components of working with dashboards. Click on the heading of any topic below and you’ll be taken to the respective documentation pages:
The first step is to create a dashboard for your repository. It’s a simple and minimal process, but if you click on the heading here, you can see how it’s done.
Next you will need to create widgets for your dashboard. You’ll have to work out the search query you want to preserve for each widget. Then there are several types of widgets from which to choose. Go to this section to see how all of this is done. For information on specific types of widgets, see the Widgets section.
When you have a dashboard organized properly, you might want to grant access to it to others, without allowing access to the data. We explain how that’s done on this page.
A dashboard and its widgets can be based on parameters that can be adjusted from the dashboard, without having to create new widgets. When something in a widget gets your attention, having parameters in place would allow you to zoom in on the data. This page will explain more.
