Provisioning

When you establish an infrastructure that can contain an operating system platform, as well as basic system devices (e.g., network interfaces), this may be called provisioning. This can include also setting how the system, data and resources, will be accessed and by whom.

Instance Sizing

An example of provisioning is to create a server instance on Amazon AWS. You might use one or more AWS Instances for installing Humio—either as stand-alone systems, or a cluster of nodes.

When you are provisioning an instance through AWS or with other such services, there are certain parameters and settings you may want to consider. See the Instance Sizing page of this section of the Documentation.

Ansible

Ansible is an automation tool that simplifies provisioning of servers for use with Humio. It can handle configuration management, software installation and other such things. See the Ansible page of this section of the Documentation.
