Managing Configuration Settings

The settings page consists of the following areas:

  • Basic Information

    • change the name of a configuration

    • add a description for the configuration

    • view details on the configuration, like, the number of instance it's assigned to and when it was published.

    • View the instances assigned to a configuration

    • Assign/remove previously enrolled instances

    • Add/remove instance from the configuration test

Editing Configuration Settings

This page allows you to edit some basic information about your configuration, like name and description.

  1. Go to Config overview and click the ellipsis menu next to the required configuration and select Config settings, the Basic information page is displayed.

  2. Once you have made the required changes on the Basic information page click Save changes.

Managing the Instances Assigned to Configuration

This page allows you to, view, add and remove the instances assigned to a configuration.

  1. Go to Config overview and click the ellipsis menu next to the required configuration and select Config settings, the Basic information page is displayed.

  2. Select Assigned collector instances from the menu.

  3. Click + Assign instances the Assign instances pop-up is displayed.

  4. Select and deselect instances from the list to add/remove instances from the configuration, then click Assign instances to apply the changes.

Editing and Publishing a Test Configuration

The Test status page allows you to view the status of the intstance on which you are testing a draft configuration, add or remove assigned instances and publish the test draft to all the instances assigned to the configuration. You can also see the status of the test configuration, which could be okay or error.

  1. Go to Config overview and click the ellipsis menu next to the required configuration and select Config settings, the Basic information page is displayed.

  2. Select the Test status, the Test status page is displayed.

    • Add or Remove instances

      Click Assign instance select and deselect instances and click Assign instances to save the changes.

    • Remove an instance from the configuration test

      Click ellipsis and Remove from test.

    • Publish Draft to All Assigned instances

      Click Publish tested draft to assign the instances to their preivous configurations, where applicable.

    • Revert assigned configurations

      Click Revert to published config to reassign the instances to which the draft test is currently applied to thier previous configurations, where applicable.
