Fylamynt have built an API integration with LogScale that has two main use cases.
Fylamynt can now receive LogScale alerts through an API call and can execute common, repetitive tasks such as restarting critical EC2 instances, remediating resource bottlenecks, maintaining resources and sending communications to key stakeholders. This enables faster response times to critical operational issues, reduces human error and increases productivity as DevOps teams can focus more time on adding value through innovation and new features.
Within the Flyamynt interface customers can now click to pull in the raw logs from LogScale that are relevant to a particular issue and are needed for detailed analysis and investigation. This results in faster resolution of issues as engineers have all the data at their fingertips through a single interface.
Enabling the Integration
To configure the integration a customer must have admin access to both a LogScale instance and a Fylamynt service.
The integration is enabled through the Fylamynt product interface where the customer will configure the destination of their LogScale service and enter a valid LogScale API key.
In addition the customer will need an API key and service URL for their Fylamynt service. Once this initial step is completed the customer can create a new alert action in LogScale that will use the webhook functionality to trigger corresponding automation actions that are configured within Fylamynt.
Customers can also configure Fylamynt to fetch relevant logs for a Fylamynt alert from LogScale and specify the LogScale query and a timeframe for the search within LogScale. Fylamynt will then pull the matching events from LogScale through an API call.
